Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.

Our Mission

We at the Isaiah Mission Foundation are fueled by passion: a passion to serve. In our eyes, we can accomplish the greatest amount of good by using our unique gifts and talents to serve others.

We launched the Foundation in 2017 as a way to discover how to fulfill our desire to do good at this stage of our lives. Having individually built up decades of experience in our respective fields, we began searching for our next purpose in life beyond our careers—we were retired, but certainly not tired!

We found our first opportunity to serve with the Kibuye Hospital in Burundi—one of the world’s poorest countries—where Len’s son-in-law serves as a surgeon. When he began his tenure, he was the only general surgeon on staff for a population of over two million people. We collaborated closely with the hospital’s doctors, missionaries, educators and others, recognizing a number of needs that we could help fulfill. Our efforts began to bear results, and we visited the hospital to identify additional ways that our gifts and talents could provide value.

Our success with Kibuye Hospital led to a new thought: how much more good could we do with more people like us?

The difference we want to make requires more than just the five of us. That’s why we seek like-minded individuals join us in our mission to serve. We are building and engaging a servant network across the world to identify and provide necessary tools to fill gaps in developing countries. In sharing our knowledge, resources and networks, we aim to empower those in need by providing the support they lack. We go where we’re needed—our work covers a wide cross-section of human health and sustainability, from building solar energy platforms to delivering surgical supplies and nutrition necessities.

By sharing and teaching what we have, we offer an opportunity to support the development of self-sustaining local infrastructures that promote security, prosperity and generosity. We hope you’ll join us.
